During a routine night shift in Cary Valley National Park, Law Enforcement Park Ranger Birdie McLaren is called to assist with a medical emergency at the park’s luxury resort. When she and her new partner arrive, they find two young men performing CPR on a dead Miwok woman.
Believing she has stumbled upon something more sinister than what others claim is just an accidental death, she is determined to uncover the truth. Birdie follows the clues to the local Miwok reservation where she discovers a trail of dead bodies, and a secret someone desperately does not want revealed.
However, the only way Birdie can seek justice for the missing and murdered Miwok victims is to put herself at risk, follow the money, and expose the powerful forces operating inside – and out – of her jurisdiction.
I’m hoping that this will be released soon. It’s currently with my editor who has told me that she is going to want to go over everything one more time, once I’m finished with her current edits. So I don’t know exactly how soon, but I’m hoping that once it’s done, it will be spectacular and you won’t be able to put it down. Even though, I’ll be at home thinking about all the things that I should have done better.
